Enjoy easy home cooking with the Aroma Simply Stainless 3-Cup (Uncooked) 6-Cup (Cooked) Rice Cooker. It prepares 2 to 6 cups of restaurant-quality cooked rice at the press of a button, automatically switching to keep-warm once the rice has cooked to perfection. This convenient appliance is also great for cooking deliciously easy oatmeal, soup, stew, chili and more. The cooking pot is made completely of surgical grade 304 stainless steel. And once the cooking is done, the cooking pot removes for quick and easy cleanup in the dishwasher. Includes measuring cup and serving spatula.

For the price this cooker is a bargain. It is not perfect; it "spits" a bit out of the "blow hole" in the lid and the rice sticks to the stainless steel cook bowl more than my previous cooker but it cleans easily. The easy clean up and the ease of making rice are what I was looking for. I make two or three small batches of rice a week because I make dogfood for my pets. I use the cooker in my garage kitchen so the "spitting" is not an issue. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Had a smaller rice cooker before this one - with an aluminum cooking bowl as compared to the stainless on this one. Mostly wanted a slightly larger cooker but turns out that the rice doesn't stick as much to the stainless as it did to the aluminum. Another advantage is that the rice cooks a fair amount faster in the new one - either it gets hotter faster or simply hotter or more elements? I read online while I was selecting this one that to prevent sticking put a couple of drops of oil in the stainless bowl and rub it around to coat it before adding the rice and water. This helps a lot and if you turn off (unplug) the cooker after it's finished it doesn't stick as much. If you don't unplug it, it goes into a "keep warm" mode which seems to contribute to more sticking to the bottom of the bowl.
Anyway, the cooker is great for the price, hope the usability hints help.

This stainless steel cooker has been a life saver. I cook all my grains in it including rice, quinoa, millet, etc.
I bought it as I wanted to avoid a toxic non-stick coating basket. I throw the stainless steel basket in the dishwasher. You can let it soak if food gets stuck at the bottom beforehand. The cooker stops automatically when the grain is cooked and keeps it warm.

Our last rice cooker made enough for me to freeze or to have in the fridge for a couple of days. This one really will only do enough for the four of us in one meal. BUT it is all stainless steel, and we love it. I can do more than just rice. I can do vegies and add vegie broth, etc.

I also give it only four stars because after the rice is done, it does NOT shut off!!!! Why not? It goes to WARM. Well, if I am busy, then it will burn and it is a pain to clean the burnt stuff off the bottom. I wish it would just shut off, because it would stay warm for a long time.
